Dear Yoyoma,I have been extremely careful NEVER to overstate my role in the Think Different campaign. Yes, behind every campaign there are those who do not play a protagonist role. Usually such people are in senior management position. And that was my case as WW Head of Global clients at TBWA in 1997. TBWA had won the Apple account for the USA. The meeting I refer to was one I had together with Lee Clow who was the lead guy on Apple and also WW Creative Director for TBWA. Lee and I met with Steve to convince him that TBWA should be the global agency. Obviously, we succeeded. Subsequent to that. my role was to set up the global management and operating structures for managing this business worldwide and to ensure that this job was performed to the standards demanded by Apple.
