London 2012 opening ceremony: different strokes for different folks, people ...! I liked most of it (contemporary pop culture references/showcases, be it film or music, were engaging and moving/hilarious, I cringed a bit at the NHS part but, on the other hand, it was a clever backslap at current prime minister, so props to Mr. Boyle for that) ...And I will (hopefully) be smirking when everyone and their grandmother will be praising the 2016 opening ceremony to high heaven because, hey, everybody loves Latin excess & bombast ... Cheerio, peeps ...!
