Photographic papers and materials are constantly changing (papers, for example, have less silver content today than previously), so a vintage print is consider the most authentic expression of a photographer's vision because it is made from materials contemporaneous with the negative.A vintage print, however, is not necessarily the best print in aesthetic terms.
