Για να είμαι ειλικρινής, όταν είχα πρωτοδεί το στιγμιότυπο μου είχε φανεί κάπως μεγάλο το δάκτυλο του Βαρουφάκη. Μετά όμως θυμήθηκα πως και ο Όττο φον Μπίσμαρκ είχε--σύμφωνα με το παρακάτω ιστορικό ανέκδοτο--τεράστια δοχεία νυκτός, καθότι ήταν και φοβερός φαγάς. Και κατέληξα πως μια και ο ιδρυτής της Γερμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας είχε τέτοιες ικανότητες, γιατί να μην έχει και ο δικός μας ήρωας τεράστια δάκτυλα. Οπότε συμπέρανα πως το βίντεο είναι μάλλον αυθεντικό (δεδομένης και της γενικότερης οίησης που φαίνεται πως χαρακτηρίζει τον Υπουργό μας). Την πάτησα λοιπόν--αλλά τώρα νιώθω τον Βαρουφάκη πιο προσιτό, παρόλο που ο Μπίσμαρκ παραμένει larger than life (ιδιαίτερα σε κάποιους τομείς).:-)Everything about Otto von Bismarck was larger than life. As a result, even Bismarck’s digestion was prodigious. His private secretary Christoph von Tiedemann recounted an episode after dinner one evening when he and a guest, the historian Heinrich von Sybel, were invited to follow Bismarck to his study.As a precaution he offered us his bedroom, which was next to the study, as a place to relieve ourselves. We went in and found under the bed the two objects we sought which were of colossal dimensions. As we stationed ourselves at the wall, Sybel spoke seriously and from the depth of his heart, ‘Everything about the man is great, even his s—!!’
